When I was a little girl I wanted to be a princess. Can you honestly think of a better job? I would live in a huge castle, wear beautiful clothes and expensive jewellery, eat pheasants and peacocks for breakfast and truffles with honey for lunch. My only worry would be finding a suitable husband – handsome enough to tempt me, brave enough to kill the dragon in my dungeon and rich enough to get my father’s approval for marriage. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy!
Since there was not a single drop of royal blood in my veins, I had to give up dreams of comfortable life and look for something else to do in my adult life. However, even a commoner like me can change into a princess from time to time. And I don’t need a fairy godmother to do that. Just some fancy clothes to put on: a blood red dress with black roses, black high heels and a pillbox hat with birdcage veil.
In an outfit like this I can be a princess, even if it is just for a day. 😉
