Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotions.
– Pablo Picasso
Can you imagine the world without colours? What a boring and depressing place that would be! There’s no denying that colours play a vital role in our lives. Each colour has a unique effect on people and can trigger various responses. For instance, some colours enhance creativity, some affect our memory and some can even increase our appetite.
People often associate certain colours with specific emotions. Take red, for example. It is the colour of fire and blood. People connect it with energy, strength and power. It also represents passion, desire and love. This intense colour often evokes erotic feelings. Think red nails, red lips or red-light district.
White is connected with light, goodness, innocence, purity and virginity. It is the colour of snow and that’s why people associate it with coolness, cleanliness and perfection.
Black symbolizes power, elegance and chic. It also represents grief, death and mourning. Black can serve as a perfect background – it makes other colours to stand out. When combined with bright colours, it can create an aggressive and eye catching colour scheme.
Therefore, when I put an outfit together, I always take my current emotions into consideration. If I am in a romantic mood I wear light / pastel colours. When I am a bit depressed, I put on yellow or orange clothes – they always manage to cheer me up. And if I want to appear as a confident woman and emphasize my sexuality and female charms I incorporate red into my outfit.
And that was my main goal today – to stand out in the crowd and scream I am a woman! My outfit combine three colours: black, red and white. In my opinion they always go well together and you can’t go wrong with them. The whole get-up is vibrant and stimulating.
